South African Rapper AKA, who earlier this month was involved in a spicy Twitter exchange with Nigerian artists over alleged xenophobic attacks, was in the spotlight once again.
On Wednesday night, a Nigerian fan said he wanted to book him, the fan revealed that he wanted him to come perform at his little brother’s birthday party but was worried about backlash, AKA replied back with a huge fee, telling the fan that he will only perform for R249,000, put that into your calculator and you will be surprised at the figure.
Book me please. It’s only 6018250,00 Naira. https://t.co/kECH4xdsyx

Fans were divided over the quote, with many Nigerians telling him not to bother. Others said the booking fee was as long as a phone number.
Some were also quick to point how superior the SA Currency is to the Naira

The artist revealed around three years ago that he charges between R90k and R130k a show and in the song Me and You last year hinted at charging R200k. In short, if you want the Mega, you gonna have to roll with deep pocket or save your life away.
It looks like booking the Mega will cost you just a pretty penny.
