Newcastle United star and Ghana International Christian Atsu has served the GFA a notice of his resignation from all national team duties, citing neglect over an injury he picked up during his service for the national team, an injury which ultimately cost him his role at Newcastle United.
According to sources, the talented winger is unhappy after officials of the Ghana Football Association failed to even contact him in the period of his predicament.
The player picked up a hamstring injury during the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt which cost him many things including his starting berth in the Newcastle United squad as well as wages because he could not get bonuses for playing and had to rely only on salaries.
He was left to his faith despite proving his loyalty, dedication and commitment to the national team for several years.
He has since told new Black Star couch – Charles Akonnor that he is no longer available for selection.
