All Guinea borders have been closed. The land,sea and air borders are closed in Guinea. The military has taken over power in a fierce gunfire battle in Conakry, the Guinea capital.
In a video broadcasted live on state television, Mamady Doumbouya, commander of the special forces and others were seen with President Alpha Conde. The group had captured the president in a successful coup.
Mamady is the leader of the group that has seized power in the country.
The Guineans could not hide their joy, they have since taken to the streets in wild jubilations.

However, many well meaning countries and international communities have called for an end to the coup and a return to constitutional order, condeming the military.
